• Prevailed in arbitration to defeat claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition and up to $7 million in damages while also recovering damages and punitive damages on cross-claims of conversion and intentional interference with business advantage.

• Obtained summary judgment, a permanent injunction, and attorneys’ fees award in federal court case against a former independent contractor who took company documents and refused to return them.

• Secured six-figure settlement from tax relief business that sued our client for misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition. Through aggressive discovery practice, we proved that the plaintiff business was engaging in Google “click-spamming,” thereby driving up our client’s advertising costs. The plaintiff dismissed its own case, and we achieved a favorable monetary settlement on our client’s cross-claims shortly thereafter.

• Negotiated six-figure settlement for defendant who was sued for misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition following his departure from a manufacturing business and employment with a claimed competitor.

• Achieved walk-away settlement on behalf of individual sued by former employer in government-acquisition industry, alleging that she had stolen customer lists and other allegedly proprietary information prior to end of her employment. While our client started a competing business after her departure, our thorough investigation and aggressive motion practice convinced the former employer to “give up the fight.”
